World Press Photo

World Press Photo is the most prestigious annual photography contest.
The exhibition of winner photos travels around the world throughout the year
(unfortunately doesnt come to Lodz but you can see it in Warsaw or Poznan).

Every picture is provided with background information about the country or problem it is talking about.
It is the most moving and eyes opening photo exhibition.
Whenever you have a chance to visit it, please dont be unworldly and check it out!

Last year I had a chance to visit it in Frankfurt.
To my extreme surprise the exhibition instead of being held in a quiet gallery, took place at railway station, in the noise of trains and rushed travellers:(
Well, at least it was for free and in the center of the city.

I took some pictures of some pictures.
