Paris Paris
Together with my friends, other Bonn trainees, I spent 5 days in Paris in spring 2003.Paris has its both bright and dark sides but it is definitely worth to visit every piece of this city.
Here few of my favourite moments and places in Paris…
The Museum d’Orsey placed in the spacious building - old railway station, specializes in modern art, including works by such artists as Cezanne, Manet, Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh.
It is a must for all art-lovers!!!
We visited also Louver. Huuuge collection – but at least it is the place where quantity goes with quality.
All excited before the tour in Louver.
Here after the Louver tour:)
Street music is sth very charming.
It is so nice to stop and listen to some classics on the way.
Pere Lachaise is a cemetery of many famous artists (like Balzac, Bizet, Delacroix, Max Ernst, Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde and many more).
On the hill, in the green, with remarkable tombs it has its own special charm.
Here is the grave of polish composer Chopin.
It is easy to get lost there so make sure you have a god map with.
Guys, thanks for walking with me there (without a map) till we found this tomb.
Our hostel Woodstock (to my surprise run by a perfectly english speaking british guy) was situated in Montmartre. It is the artists district, with many cafes, on the hilly area...
with a beautiful basilica Sacre Coeur
and Dali gallery.
Pigalle square and the whole Moulin Rouge – red light district is really nothing to recommend.
Be careful there – my friends (guys) were robbed and kicked out from one night club. It was a quite strange story...
Police was not much help then…
I liked the business part of Paris...
La Defense
with a carousel in the middle:)
Walk along the river Seine is unforgettable…
What is so special about Eiffel tower – I don’t know...
but the view from the top in the night is marvelous.
